Always first with the er, best, Talk Audio has just got wind of some new models of Kenwood’s 2013 head unit line up and have pictures and tech details. Not world-shatterers but solid new designs and a delicate ‘kaizen’ (or Japanese for gradual improvement all the time) of the stuff they do. All with the rock solid Kenwood Electronics’ quality of build and internals and high performance, these are a pair of peaches as far as this writer can see. Android Music Control App – For Android Smart Phones
Kenwood Android app is now available on Kenwood audio units with a USB input.
Important note: Compatible with Android Version 2.3x, 2.4x for this feature. Also previous Kenwood head-units which included KME (Kenwood Music Editor ) Light are also compatible with the Android app. (A list of compatible head-units can be found on our website in Technologies/Android)
By using Kenwood Music app for Android, you can create your playlist and even sort that playlist by music mood (Vivid, Dynamic, Easy, Rock, etc..). Also control and browse music files stored in your Android phone.

By Hand Mode: once selected this locked the head-unit and control/search was only available via the iPod/iPhone. With Kenwood’s By Hand Mode when selected, the head-unit can still control basic control features, this allows control of PAUSE, TRACK UP/DOWN and now compatible iPod/iPhone audio apps.
