Orion Hardcore Attitude
The new HCCA Orion Car Audio line-up proudly continues the Orion Industries’ legacy, standing up once again as the best and the strongest in a market overflowing with wannabees and chrome-plated posers.
HIGH CURRENT COMPETITION CLASS D AMPLIFIERS
Back in the 80’s the technology was transistors and massive class AB designs that stretched the length of a football field, today it’s more efficient MOSFET and Class D designs – but the outcome is the same – serious amounts of power driving ridiculously low impedances at insane output levels. Orion say ‘Whether your goal is an SPL world record or you just want serious sound damage on the streets, these four Class D marauders will bump the Big Thump like no one’s business.’ I think they have a point. They are the HCCA -D5000, D2400, D1200 and D600. They make the amount of watts their monikers suggest. LOTS. They are, for the record, a High Current Competition Class D mono amplifier with MOSFET power supply, the Orion IntelliQbass optimisation circuit and all come with a remote gain control, heavy gauge direct-wire high current power and speaker terminals and an 18db/octave low-pass filter. Expect to pay from £200 to £750, which is from 30p per watt at RMS!.
HCCA SUBWOOFERS ARE BACK -AND BADDER THAN EVER!
Following last year’s introduction of the new HCCA Amplifiers, Orion proudly introduces the ALL NEW HCCA SUBWOOFERS. These babies are the biggest, baddest and most hardcore subwoofers Orion has ever made. Step up to premium 3000-watt peak SPL performance with these frighteningly powerful new red-and-black HCCA 10s, and 4000-watt peak SPL performance with the new HCCA 12’and 15’subwoofers from Orion, a world leader in competition lane mayhem for more than 20 years. Match them with the new HCCA Components that sound as awesome as they look and you’re ready for action. High Temperature PAARC (Polyester Amide, Amide Resin Coated) Dual flat Conex spiders with loop stitched tinsel leads and an enhanced voice coil cooling system. They feature a field replaceable cone, voice coil, and spider assembly for the destructo-nutters in the competition lanes (you can blow them up and then fix them without going to a repair shop!) and will set you back £260 for a ten; £300 for a 12; and £350 for a 15. Re-cone kits for the mad persons are from £100 to £140.
New ORION HCCA 6.2 COMPONENTS
The new HCCA components utilise Neodymium magnets that make the speaker shallow, yet this component set throws tons of mid bass all they way down to 45Hz – and are capable of maintaining their balance and clarity at exceptionally high output levels. They are the perfect complement to the HP-Series or HCCA subwoofers. KEY FEATURES: Shallow mounting depth; custom crossover with 12dB high pass, 6dB low pass; tweeter level adjustments; custom tweeter mounting kits including swivel. RRP: £200.
