Pending, Pending….

We all like to think we are cool, heroic and laid back. I’m as cool and laid back as a freshly made steamer and I just couldn’t bear it any longer and have just called to ask the nice woman at Future publishing who is in charge of promoting a whole division of magazines, about our application to the Guinness World Records Organisation for the thing we did in Ground Pounding at the Pod. A ground shake equivalent to 300kg of high explosives a half mile way. I really want to see Talk Audio and Fast Car cited as record setters and then kick it off internationally as a contest format as unlike SPL, it relies on true internationally agreed physical standards rather than delicate pressure sensors working close to their limits. I gather that editor Scary Steve has added the pictures and so forth to cover their end and we’ll hear within three days of whole heap of stuff arriving at the Guinness HQ. My only worry is that they may perceive it as somehow unsafe but we were well controlled and hugely risk assessed and no harm came to anyone. Not like a cream cheese eating record…
I have the gruesome Vibe Black Death Escalade (seen in Vegas at the CES) written and ready to go but we are asked to hold fire on publication until Max Power get their print version on the street.
Developments continue on Talk Audio magazine and we have just added an RSS feed logo to promote the fact we can do this – up to now it has been a small below-the-bottom-margin thing. I have plans of megalomaniacal readership-world-expansion (hell I can’t help it, I’m a writer) and really want to build up a regular RSS fed audience.
To that end, the freebies and swag items that flow out from the site will be done on a time-basis like fastest to the phone lines on a radio station, with an RSS announcement that it’s going. Thus an advantage could be seen to accrue to the PDA and iGizzmo owners, or those who can openly abuse their work’s computer juice and respond immediately so we will make sure they hit at different times of the day when they do. So, go see the front page and subscribe to the TA RSS feed. Be first with the worst, from Talk Audio magazine.
