SHAKING The Dead. VIBE HEARSE TO GET VIOLENT

Regular readers will recall the Vibe Hearse. From time immemorial, the hearse, long and low, has been the weapon of vehicular choice for extreme audio installations. I was myself excited to read Kevin O’Byrne’s accounts of queues at shows in America, shuffling up tighter to the entrance as the Assassinator and Terminator hearses of certain speaker companies started running on the other side of the wall. A hearse has lots of space, lots of glass, lots of engine power as these are supposed to be a prestige ride, even if it is the last one. And like the Punisher hearse by Pat Ryan (my biggest fan of all time, who just loves all this stuff and has read my doings since he was a youth) is one such.
You can read the Punisher Hearse’s story here: Link You will of course now see the awful, utterly uncreative rehashing of the headline, with dead persons being awoken, over and over but hey, the stories are far apart and only Pat will have already read BOTH
Meanwhile, you can read the Vibe Black Death Hearse’s story, here:

Now the thing is, I am on record saying this: I will go out on a simple statement of fact limb that corporately they have not dared utter for fear of backlash, maybe:
‘The Vibe hearse will generate upwards of a 160dB bass pressure field inside, if you are daft enough to want to run it that powerfully.’

And now, as my good chums from Audio Control always say, ‘TAKE IT OUT AND MEASURE IT!’ For it is time and this will be a UNIQUE EVENT!

Yes! Even if they blow it the hell UP, the Vibe hearse is going to be ragged ROTTEN AT THE Midbass open day!
First, we are going to let it charrrrge up. Then, it shall be ‘˜peak driven’ to its utmost and also entered into the ESPL contest. Now, this is an EXPERT class vehicle, which means there are not many heavy hitting pressure wagons out there that can tussle with it. AND, in an almost American fit of gung-ho, are so keen to compete, that they will even buy you the gloves to spar with them. Yes, if you have gas in your tank and a system that can kick arse, then Vibe will PAY YOUR ENTRY FEE INTO THEIR OWN CLASS!
All you need do is show up before nine am on the Sunday at Vibe and do the data sheet and they will pay the EMMA organisation, all your fees to be tested!
If you give them a bloody nose, they will grin and shake your gloves. They too will learn if you beat the Vibe Hearse. But I reckon the time of aloofness is over. Like the Ground Zero brand they are now looking after in the UK, they have got a grip of the value of joining IN, as well as demoing.
But always such major systems and cars, it hasn’t really been an issue up until The 160dB Era! And the Vibe Truck will be re-vamped and seen for the first time at the EMMA Round 3 Event.
I know, of no T-Event for Talk Audio that had lunacy like it, but make no mistake, there is a section of this lunacy that is just a Talk Audio Thing. And that was always free. Its NOT a charge for entry show. Extra space has been swagged for our parkingeven in different areas, so we can call one, ‘SQ FAIRIES’. The point is, it’s a perfect venue for sharing.

These are the ‘˜criteria’ to be an EXPERT SPL install.. AND GET FREE ENTRY:
EMMA Sound Pressure League (ESPL)
ESPL Expert
ESPL Expert is similar to ESPL Master, but not only is the quality of the installation and of course the volume
level important, but also the design and styling of the competition car will be judged.
The competitors will receive qualified feedback about the SPL-measures and installation of their systems with
potential for improvements in the future.
