Talk Audio SCOOP. We have this information to publish just ahead of the rest of the press. With a direct slice of high level news from the radio version of the people who ran the campaign with the cute robot for the TV switch to digital. One day, we will do the same thing to FM radio but not for a while yet. However, the campaign is really gaining traction and now, they are after teaching new car buyers to seek the sweet sweet sound of digital radio read on:
Valentine’s Day sees the conclusion of the first phase of the Digital Radio UK spring campaign, which incorporates Valentine’s Day messaging, alongside cars, choice and easy tuning.
This weekend our new car campaign goes on air, starting on Jazz FM. For the first time ads focus specifically on digital radio in new cars, to support the fact that 43.7% of new cars now have digital radio as standard this also coincides with the peak March registration period for new cars.
Other commercial radio stations will follow from the first of March for two weeks. The endline is: ‘If you’re buying a new car this spring, make sure it has a digital radio. Ask your car dealer or visit getdigitalradio.com.’
There is a 40 second (for digital-only stations) and a 10 second version. Other slots in the 1st March to 15th March campaign phase include choice, easy tuning and multiplatform. We continue to promote the fact that all cars can be converted to digital radio.
