Stuff to do…
There’s no shortage of things I need to be getting on with this week, with write ups of the CES show and the amazing $990,000 Galpin Scythe car to write. However, the reviews schedule is unrelenting and the machines and devices I need to get at soon are clamouring for attention.
As times toughen up, there have been a couple of advertisers dropping away – one in the shape of Panasonic, who despite a major presence in the A/V market and massive activity at the CES have withdrawn from the UK and the whole of Europe when it comes to their mobile electronics.
The CES was mixed from the point of view of the numbers attending as the cabbies reckoned it was less than 50% of the normal, but it did mean that I got clearer shots of cars than normal. I hosed down the Scythe but also the Vibe Red, White & Blue Mini Coopers and their Black Death Escalade. Max Power will be publishing those as shot in full professional glamour stylee but I need to check if Talk Audio Magazine can publish ahead of them in our more techy style or see if they have exclusivity issues.
One Big Task this week that I really must simply go get at is the application to the Guinness Book Of Records for the Fast Car feature called BassQuake in issue 274 on sale right now, £4.49 at all good newsagents (“…and s**t ones as well” Steve ‘Scary’ Chalmers Editor Fast car)
