TalkAudio – Because It Sounds Better Than Knob Twiddlers Anonymous
I have decided not to let the brilliant alternatives to Tim Reeves’ sensible strap line go languish as there are so very many and they are so very good. And I will be using them as alternative titles to this “This Week” blog! The above was by Switchblade.
I am stoked about the cartoon strip finally coming together.
Son of BoomZilla lives! We have the first set of art, we have the intro and the cover, we just await a full page ad from Morel, who along with the Fusion guys are the two sponsors, Boomer & Tweak. A mild mannered acoustician and his wife have a son but have never told him that his DNA is fatally flawed and have kept him from experiencing super-loud bass his whole life. Then some lad brings his dad’s Morel Fat Lady speakers to the birthday party….
I have had some real fun with the new JBL kit just in. I may even have found a new reference bass amplifier in the shape of the stupefying JBL GTO 24001 monoblock. I have also got two ready-made JBL bass boxes on the go, one bass reflex, the other bandpass. I just have to exhibit some restraint in not blowing them up as they are rated for less than half the four Ohm output of the mighty basserator I have them plugged into.
Do go check out the happening JL Audio evening we are running in Chippenham in Wiltshire next Wednesday week – so far we have only a few said they will be coming, so do go check out the thread and register – we have the whole nightclub to our TA selves and Steve Turrisi will be there from JL Audio to present a charismatic set of stuff and take us through the three demo cars they will have parked up outside the club. Well worthy as a social and a deep-tech principles-thing to be able to apply to whatever brand you best love, whether you are aware of the JL Audio ledge or not.
Look forward to seeing you there. Gotta get on – stuff to test…..
