Thanks a Mille from Hertz

Hertz has launched a complete redesign of the highly successful Mille speaker range. Available now from FOUR MASTERS and FOUR dealers, the new improved Mille are set to break new ground in terms of price/performance ratio.
Comprising a tweeter, 2 ¾in mid, 6½in woofer and a choice of two passive crossovers, Mille may be purchased in two-way and three-way systems or as individual components.
Mille features the now firmly established V-Cone which gives the woofers a highly linear, distortion free response with a wide dispersion characteristic for improved off-axis performance, helping overcome some of the obstacles when finding a suitable mounting location. Adjustments have been made to the cone profile as well as the pressed paper and copper fibre material to further improve linearity and provide an even more natural sound. Employing a large REN Neodymium ring magnet in the ML 700 and ML 1600 mid and woofer, ensures tight mechanical control and aids enormously with cooling in turn increasing power handling, efficiency and reducing distortion.
The die-cast aluminium basket, with its self-supporting design helps with mechanical damping, without affecting acoustics. A Butyl rubber cover protects the magnet and contributes to a reduction in unwanted resonances and residual vibrations, while adding to the component’s cosmetic design.
A unique feature of the ML 280 tweeter is the Tetolon® Fibre dome featuring a hemispheric-hyperbolic profile: its 28 mm diameter, dome height and the special profile all combine to ensure maximum stiffness and linearity providing flat, smooth frequency response beyond the audible range. Radial ducts on the back plate of the tweeter dissipate heat from inside the damped resonance chamber.
Two passive crossovers are available. The MLCX 2 TW is a Hi-Lo crossover incorporated in the MLK 2 TW system whilst the MLCX 2 TM is a Mid-Hi crossover for use with the ML700 mid and ML280 tweeter. Thus the Mille 3-way systems use a mix of active (for the woofer) and passive (for mid and tweeter) to offer a highly impressive acoustic result with maximum system simplicity. Each crossover has three-stage adjustment for tweeter output at 2dB per stage.
