Vegas Fun Stuff from the 2014 International CES

The International CES is all about technology and the show just happening to be in Las Vegas (‘I HAVE to go, it IS work, Honey’) makes it all the more cool. Each year you go, there has been an ever yet more insanely bright and colourful full video sign of Biggest Ever The World Has Seen grade, erected. The legendary Las Vegas Strip just has to ratchet one up each time you see it. I barely got to experience it this time, even though I did get taken out to eat at one of the places that locals cherish, off the strip itself. Just a bit of trundling from the LVCC to the Palms and then the Hard Rock hotels was all I did. In the UK, we have barely begun to catch up with such flashy signs, even in Piccadilly Circus in London. (Not the Manc impersonation!) The content must be shot and processed especially to fit a super tall portrait aspect ratio and I can tell you, it pokes your eyes out, even from inside a cab on the Strip. How in heck the drivers are not distracted enough to have tinkle-bumps when a new advert campaign goes up, I do not know. I wonder if you can use ‘distracted by signs’ as a mitigation?

I did have the show of a lifetime and as well as uploading these utterly frivolous videos onto YouTube, to my Presenterbloke channel, and also plopping them into Talk Audio TV’s very own video content management system see the upper left drop-down menu I now embed them into something to place upon the front page for your mild and brief delectation in case you missed them elsewhere.
