WAXSTOCK 2013
Waxstock, the UK’s specialist car care and detailing show arguably the largest show of its type in the world returns to Peterborough Arena on Sunday 7th July 2013. And it’s going to be even bigger and better than the inaugural event in 2012, with more hall space, more features and more exhibitors.
Organised by Detailing World, Zaino Europe and Dodo Juice, the event has attracted sponsorship in 2013 from Farecla (G3 Professional range), Scholl Concepts and the Pro Valeters and Detailers association. Over 2000 enthusiast visitors will be expected at the one day show, with some travelling from Europe especially for the event.
Waxstock caters to everyone from complete newbies to enthusiastic amateurs and professional valeters and detailers. Every year they can enjoy a fixture promising a day of hands-on product testing, demos, retail therapy and socialising. Trade-wise, over 40 car care manufacturers, resellers and pro detailers will be gathering to sell the largest selection of detailing supplies ever seen under one roof (often at special show prices), impart expert advice and impress the crowds with their products and talents.
The event will take place on the Sunday the 7th of July at the Peterborough Arena, East Midlands (easy access to A1). The indoor venue (essential for a detailing festival) features a spectacular and airy glass atrium: the perfect setting for live detailing demos and painstakingly prepared show cars, plus there’s reasonably priced food and drink (including beer), a cash machine and free parking.
Naturally, there will be a show and shine event or, in fact, two:
– The ValetPRO ‘Arrive and Shine’ open to all visitors on the day, with a special ‘˜Best Works Vehicle’ category so that valeting vans can square up against each other;
– a pre-qualified concours competition, The Detailing World Showdown, featuring the finest 16 cars that have been selected on Detailing World and with a top prize worth approximately £1000 in cash and prizes.
There will also be the popular ‘˜Speed Machine Polishing’ competition (see a bonnet expertly refinished within minutes!), dozens of machine polishers available for trial at the Test Bench and an Embarrassing Bodywork ‘˜surgery’, where you can visit the ‘˜Detailing Doctor’ for advice on for your car’s paintwork woes.
The show costs £12 in advance (concessions for children under 14) via link or £15 on the gate. With limited capacity at the venue, advanced ticket purchase is recommended.
