WE Gorra P88!

I resolve to fling the products in the video blog about a bit more slowly in future. It’s one of those odd things, you can see quite a bit on the camera’s screen when it’s flipped around but I think I need a 12V drop-down big screen to do the monitoring as I film. (You can see my eyes tracking to the side of the image as I do it rather than loving the lens.) As each time, there’s more to see on the finished video than I realise I am capturing. Going slower will make it better. The backlog is quite bad now as the home side rather took me over last week all of a sudden. It was just too glamorous to avoid. First go listen to Steinway speakers that cost £150,000 a pair. Then, go to Pioneer and review a set of £12,000 surround speakers. Then go the very next day to the legendary Air Studios and check out a set of £50,000 stereo speakers! I know it has got in the way a bit but I reckon you’d rather have an editor who had done all that stuff to better reference the best the car scene has got.
All of which is intro to the fact that one purpose of going to Pioneer was to get firm hold of some kit. One, a Pioneer SC-LX81 surround sound AV beast for reference use on Home Cinema Choice and two (and rather more emotional for me) a Pioneer DEH-P88RSII”> head unit. It will of course get a thorough testing and then is destined to be Talk Audio’s source to use for reviewing speakers, amplifiers, processors and anything else that needs a headunit of ‘known good’ nature.
There is lots of news and even some video from the Mobile Electronics News show to lay out so I’ll get on it rather than whingeing and bragging all at once. (Now that sounds ‘spoilt brat’ dunnit?)
