Week Eighteen – Grand Designs Live Makes Me Dream

Danielle Christie was delighted with being on the front page of Talk Audio and of course put us on her Facebook fan scene page thing, which was nice. The video to replace her on our front pane has been popped on the system and aughta be visible soon. It goes from the gorgeous Danielle to wrinkly Old Bag Extraordinaire, in the shape of my mum!
This week is a terribly foreshortened one as not only is it a bank holiday, but it is also Grand Designs Live, where I am going to press day to look at how LEDs of various kinds are affecting home tech – slightly more home than car, but it’s about meeting the guys from Philips really, as they do make some awesome TV kit! I could sooo use a super wide TV for the Blu rays in my life….
But I still itch with wanting to know who will be the first to offer an In-Car Blu ray deck, as against a PC with a Blu ray drive. I have had a big old box with DD subwoofers (or it might just be one, I haven’t prised it open yet) delivered and will be getting around to plugging it into the big old JBL amp soon as well.
And tomorrow, I am having a posh visitor in the shape of Mr. Alan Smith, who is a Clarion honcho, has an NX700E double DIN deliciouso-beast in his dash, and I have had one also arrive in a carton. So I’ll play with the one in the guv’s motor, then play around with one for myself. (I wonder if he’ll mind me dumping a bunch of review samples in his hands to take home?
