Week Eleven And The Show Season Has Kicked Off
It was Ultimate Dubs VW show at the weekend and I gather it was a good one. They certainly got lucky at last with the weather. My big fave, The Modified Nationals, is to be called merely The Nationals from now on, I gather and there are other shows being booked up and down the land, with a big sexy new sound off event planned that I cannot reveal until the boss has done his site meeting. The IMM Mini based event is booking yours truly as compere, so I thought I would try my hand at some research. I failed in pretty much totally grotesque way in my quiz sent to me by Helen Hircock. Her and Daz are bass heads in Minis and have made 160dB in their time. Utter experts in Mini-ness and kind enough to help. Darn I need to learn some stuff… I do know about the very first plastic car radio housings being mouldings made by Electrosystems’ engineer Mr. Younger in the sixties for the Mini that had no radio provision at all at the time, though. But I pretty much failed at everything else.
It looks as if most of you lot are being a bit less than the Yanks in attention-seeking. Which is cool.. that OR you are awaiting to be NOTICED, which is WAY cooler than doing a Donkey on Shrek and shouting PICK ME! So, perhaps there is another way.
IF YOU WANT TO SEE A CAR AS SYSTEM OF THE MONTH, SEND ME A LINK.
It’s that simple and I will need pictures and a contact to ask questions (an interview) is all
The TuneIt App from Alpine is deep cunning and is the subject of the latest video entered into TalkAudioTV. It is brilliant and great fun. I recall Air & Sound Installations’ brothers arguing over tunings. The elder had a perfect tuning for Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits, while the younger preferred a better more generally HiFi tuning. I also recall SQ hounds keeping a street boomer fun tuning in their two or three memories. But this system means you can share serious EQ efforts in similar cars and then go social to let others download and try them and that is the genius. The One Bit yet is that the Facebook software thing has yet to finally get sorted out for the UK. It’s a complex issue and as yet not fully cooking. But I am a saddo Facebook head and shall keep RIGHT on this.
So who wants their car to be first System of the Month?
