Week Forty I Mustn’t Be Naughty.

Just for this week alone, I have to keep schtumm about some very exciting news for all sorts of people as I am privy to who has won what at the trade’s biggest ‘˜do’ of the year, the Mobile Electronics News awards. I am to be the presenter on the night and have already threatened, within my ‘˜Rayner Rants’ column, to do it in the Stewart Tartan formal Highland Dress Kilt.
I may well not keep to that part of my column but it is always nice to have a dagger down yer sock in case you meet someone else who has one and you need to fight to the deathlike you do. (Anyway my pen is mightier and far more vorpal than any blade you can keep down a sock.) But enough of that
This weekend coming is also the massive 100% Tuning car show event at Rotterdam, in Ahoy, where the EMMA organisation are to hold their tenth finals, which sadly Talk Audio are not going to be able to cover. It’s odd, I have been to Japan and Las Vegas but Rotterdam appears to be a show too far! It’s also the weekend of Modified Live as well at Snetterton circuit but for me and those not off to the Big Shows, it’ll be all about the Propper Droppers deep bass SPL contest to be held at Car Audio & Security in Hayes, Middlesex. It promises to be great fun and with some of the very most crazed competitors away at the major events, there should be more of a look-in on the trophy front for the less extreme installs. There are JBL 12 inch woofers to be won all details on the flyer on their site.
I still have to get to grips with the hardware I have been promising rashly for a week or two, the Clarion NX700E in particular, so as ever, I’ll go get on
