Week Four: In Which I Have Been Out Motoring
I have just had the most bonkers mileage week since I was a rep working for what was then called Electrosystems (now long since swallowed up by Armour Automotive). I went up on Thursday to see the top folks at Midbass – the Vibe, Fli, Edge and BlackDeath ICEmakers – then headed away from Brum after our conflab, eventually down the A34 to go see the top bods at Celsus ICE, who deal in Dynamat, JL Audio, MTX, Stinger and Pacific Accessory Corp, as well as the top end Jenhert door builds (and posh antennae from Calearo). On the way, I had a nice nag with another VIP, from Armour on the phone and the upshot is that the next year for Talk Audio magazine does look busy and continues happily with our major Site Associates, Alpine, Clarion and others like Earthquake and even Exide.
(although with that last mentioned, we are still awaiting a test battery to try out) I want to offer up a huge thanks to the top execs at Vibe for letting me take a chunk out of a busy day and especially to Celsus whose invite first for beer and scran and a bed for the night was the precursor to the product stuff.
Poole is such a lovely town and putting the world to rights with brilliant company, a beer or two and the soundtrack lacking cars but instead having the gentle lapping of waves by the harbour was surcease to my soul! I made a video at Vibe about their utterly nutterly new PA speaker types they are making in 4 Ohm for car use and another at Celsus about the JL Audio bass boxes.
I have been struggling with woodwork on my bench, as I need to test some drop down screens, so I might play with the new JL Audio XD200 amp (weeeeeny) and small bass box I brought away from JL, first.
