Week Four In Which I Meet Jazzy B!

I’m still munching my way through a sexy mountain of stuff from the CES and am even penning a show report for Fast Car as well as assembling a CES blog for Kenwood Electronics, who had a seriously cool tale to tell of new technology and a wonderful demo car. As soon as said blog is public, I shall echo it here on the front page. It stars a young installer of great skill and charisma video coverage and all. It is hellish picking what order to throw the stories down in, as there are a goodly few to write up. So far, I have assembled the picture galleries and embedded the edited YouTube video work into articles for AudioControl, Cerwin-Vega, JL Audio and Rockford-Fosgate, as well as covering the CES Unveiled event at the Mandalay Bay hotel. I have videos on YouTube on my YouTube Partner channel ‘˜Presenterbloke’ as well as them being on Talk Audio TV (see the drop down top left) of a sexy girly DJ, a mad panorama from atop the Palms hotel of the Strip at night and the Hybrid Audio Technologies car, as well as Pioneer and JVC uploaded. I shall be adding pictures and front-paging those in due course as well.
In typical fashion, I remain jetlagged for longer than I was away and yet as well as throwing this down today I am also due at Auto Audio to meet an Eighties hero of mine, Jazzy B of Soul II Soul fame. He has a Mercedes G-Wagen with some finer embellishments to be added and I am going to interview him about his car and the sounds inside it. I want to know if car audio is any use as ‘˜studio monitoring’.
Meanwhile, it’s that time of year when the tax man needs paying, so I shall have to be working on some admin as well, so do please bear with me if you are getting impatient! And lastly, but by no means leastly, I have fixed up for the twin car audio teams of Team Hz Addiction and Team Ice to meet up at a footy stadium car park where my mate knows the boss, in order to check out their plans for 2014 and to see what Big Mick thinks of their systems. (He mixes live sounds, in stadiums, for a small beat combo of the metal type – Metallica.) I just have to get the last details and then ask when everyone might be free to come meet up.
