Week Fourteen: In which I Get Traffic Mastered!
As ever, a little behind on the review front although I am poised to write up the 4ch Infinity Kappa and the Clarion APX1301E monoblock amplifiers and then plug in the Earthquake processors. Last week the Trafficmaster Monitor signal was turned off. It drove a screen on my dash well on a damn solid great ARAT mounting bracket supporting fully seven inches of touchscreen goodness that had the entirety of the UK traffic snarl ups displayed on it. Now, however, I have a professional installer coming to my house on Thursday to fit the new Trafficmaster SmartNav system, which is navigation as well. Best of all, it is backed up by a full Real Live People concierge system!
I’ll tell you more about it, and run a formal review, as well once I have had a go on italthough I will admit now that I reckon it is superior technology to most, with an astonishing infrastructure to back it up.
I’m all excited about Gadget Show Live, too I’m due at press day on the 12th, dubbed ‘Gadget Show Professional’ and I posted on the forum last week about the fact of my swagging a pair of tickets for the show from our chums at Kenwood Electronics. Right at last knockings on Friday, the dude from Kenwood called to apologise for not letting us know sooner which day they were for, but they were still finding out, as they wanted to make it a weekend so as to offer the easiest chance for the winner to be able to go at such late notice. After all, the tickets sold out very early and they will all be with folks who are taking the day off, especially if going on a weekday. (It’s 13th to 17th April)
Autosound and thus Blaupunkt are the newest Talk Audio Site Associates and in super rapid fashion, have supplied review kit, even before their banner advert goes up. I have a wheel well woofer, a 2011 special edition amplifier and a sexy Brand New Unitwhich I will now go and write up for the news!
