Week Nine: In Which TA Gets Testing

Lots of lovely kit all hooked together in the test rig. Five products altogether and I have started writing some bones for the reviews.
I gather from Girish Janday at Pioneer, that these speakers from the TS-A series, sound great on headunit power as well as singing on a decent amplifier. They are hooked into a JL Audio ‘˜New Class D’ XD 400/4, with the really dinky two channel version of the same amplifier playing an equally really dinky JL bass box. So, I’ll have to try them on just headunit power too.
I didn’t mention last week, that I also have a Caliber RDD 401BT headunit to test as well. A not-quite-double-DIN unit with screen and no doubt, AV outs that I can check on the new NESA 909 test overhead tv monitor as well as shove its 4×75 w power into the Pioneers for that other test.
I’ll see how much of the kit I can get through in the week…
I did get the Clarion OHM 1588DV screen system reviewed and videoed and the video can be seen on the front page as well as embedded into the review I so love our new system, it really lets you get ‘˜netty on kits’ ass!
Loved the HiFi show press day too and met some TA-ers who didn’t know I was involved in HiFi as wellwell, I am! I witnessed a pair of (sixty grand) projectors doing the most awesome 3D yet seen, from SIM2. And again felt poor.
And best of all, we have a date for the Summer Meet for Talk Audio fans! JOY!
