Week ONE But It Ain’t Quite Hogmanay Yet!
I do so hope you had a Yule of great restfulness, shocking piggery and Bacchanalian Boozy Excess. To those servicing our leisure over Christmas, the chefs and entertainers, I salute you. To those keeping us safe and doing a grindingly tough job out on our roads over Christmas, you have my respect one rugged copper I know had the worst professional day of his life during that period. It was about the ‘˜no longer being able to help’ bit. Like when my mum was a nurse and discovered a patient had had a bleed in the night, and died without anyone spotting it. His misery was about a passing expert stopping to help with the downed tree and ending up meeting the tree that would kill him along with it being closer to his time. But its when they go quiet.
OK, so done with the sad, here’s the forward and upward. I have a FAN! He is from Trinidad & Tobago, goes by the moniker of ‘˜Modz Von Xyborg’ and talks on Facebook about stuff to do with fixing games consoles as well as sounds and systems, that reads cool and knowledgeable. Yet I have no idea what the flip he is on about, mostly! He loves my stuff, follows it ALL and yet also gives vent to his feelings, like you do on FB. At which point, you can attempt a broad Trinni accent and read his spelling out loud and it’s gorgeous. Here’s a post about stuff he cares about: ‘Seriously???….bassheads making vape pages now??? YOU CYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH BE F****N SERIOUS BOUT LIFE!!!’ I meant to mention him in Morel Mondays as he was asking when the next one was coming out, since he loves those cars and I can tell you that they will kick in again after the CES.
I am so excited about the CES I am ready to pop. (UGH!) It’s sinking in I have my insurance, a magical SIM to give me mighty data usage, and all sorts of other prep done. I just pray my unlock code comes in on email from Samsung soon enough, or it will an expensive failure-to-do-it-in time.
Talking of which, I still have some stuff to do so I shall cut this short and just say a very Happy New year from all of the team at Talk Audio, Guru, mods and editor alike and lastly
