Week Seven Of Concatenation & Output Diverse
If ever I am nicked for moral turpitude or skullduggery and thuggery, they will find books in my shelves from what I call ‘The unhealthy interest section’ or the one filled with the books about gangsters like the Mafia and our own Krays. I have every book ever written about the twins. So I saw the movie with the worryingly good Kemp brothers. Ex pop stars, they were made for the rôles. I love the moment in the film, when the totally brilliant English teacher says, ‘A word! I want a WONDERFUL word! KRAYS! Give me a word.’ To which they reply in unison, (or rather the child actors, who were also tremendous, did) ‘Crocodile!’
I like concatenation. It means, ‘the action of linking things together in a series, or the condition of being linked in such a way.’ And in my case, this led to my both going out with a twisted knee on a single-hit fishery visit for the Anglers Mail and on the same day, run a subwoofer review test in the new, mostly-video format.
This seemed to work and massively sped up the publishing delay, proving the idea. After all, I published it yesterday on the same day as the test. Unfortunately, it was kinda because I had left this Clarion SW2513B bass box untested for too long and it had to be done before winging its way back to Clarion Towers. So, I had a busy Sunday. I actually thumped it while my in laws were visiting and you can hear the sound track of Call The Midwife on the telly in the background downstairs when the rig stops!
A big deal was the new test rig battery, an Odyssey PC1350, for running up kit. It is a big old brute and I twisted my knee getting it up the stairs somehow, owbut it is getting better fast.
It has ninety-five ampere-hours of oomph in its tummy, whereas the old one, a PC 925 had but twenty-eight. It was good for up to a kilowatt of amplification, but now I can go way bigger and may even invest in a Steve Meade Amp Dyno. Now wouldn’t THAT be a thing?
Valentine’s Day is next Saturday, I think I shall be embarking upon a new love affair by then, with a car more later.
