Week Thirty-Seven It’s Audiophile Heaven!

You know what? This may be somewhat different to the last time I wanted to show some car audio fanatics the detailed sound of the best fidelity there was. That time, we rented a control room of a famous London recording studio and had two sessions, just listening to the studio monitors. I had enough people to gang up on the fees and we all paid like £15 each for the pleasure back in the nineties! That was Townhouse, owned by Pete Townshend of WHO fame. This time, it is not a sexy recording studio but a very posh audio fitting room style distributor’s place and I have far less folks coming.
I was a little vexed as two places got ‘˜swagged and blocked’ by a business and I actually believed, daftly, that this would be reliable! Anyway, I do have a place or two left after they inevitably dropped out, if you’d like to PM me!
Huge apologies for the late in the day publishing of the column but I have been ill and in fact spent the day working at Trax yesterday, slightly puke-spattered! I had got up early after 72 hours of feeling rotten and had even watched the man Stroke Woman Man Cold YouTube video a few times from bed, not that it helped
I had sorted all the cameras, swag and fridge bag of water and black diet pop the night before. But yocked up while sorting stuff in the early morn. I hadn’t even realised I had gotten any on me so another apology to folks yesterday
But the show was a bit odd, as we were placed in a hole under a bridge more later in the feature.
OK, will keep this brief in the interests of getting it published but did want to add that I am dead excited to be going to hear the Steinways again. Those who want to know more about them can check the invitation story out again, here: link. I look forward to meeting the cream of the Talk Audio audiophile community on Wednesday
