Week Three In Which I Return ENTHUSED!
You know, I cannot improve on the main body nor headline of last year’s Monday column at this same moment, for like a tree getting hit by lightning twice, I have just returned from
‘VIVAAAAAAAA LAS VEGAS! For I have got back from the best press trip I ever had. (AGAIN!) I am actually deliciously aware of quite what a ridiculously fortunate bloke I am to have a career doing what I love and to be able to regarded as useful enough of audience to get treated thus. I get guilt attacks.
For I felt a little like it was all going so right for someone ELSE and wanted to look behind me to see if they really meant ME. That said, I admit I schmoozed like my mama taught me to make it happen! I won’t detail it …
So on behalf of Talk Audio and all our readers, I wanted to offer up a deep and heartfelt thank you first to some bloke who likes to fish and wishes he could do it a bit more, (like me) because his day job is holding the reins of the CEA itself, Mr. Gary Shapiro. His record is Kirk-esque and yet he is a tremendously approachable guy.
The public relations professionals of such unimpeachable taste and perception (who selected me to go) are PRPR who are in Berkhamstead near me in leafy Bushey-upon-the-mount’.
This year I made a LOT of video and while it took for ever to produce REAMS of stuff in words last year, I have made it all as TATV footage this time. As I write, I have added nearly thirty video clips to the Presenterbloke YouTube channel. Two only are made of more than one gonzo shot, the Orion Jeep and the Kenwood McLaren hypercar. I hit Pioneer, AudioControl, JVC, Alpine, Clarion, Cerwin Vega, Orion, Mmats, MTX, JL Audio like a rash, Rockford Fosgate and lots from the CES Unveiled event.
You can go see it all right now on YouTube and search for ‘Presenterbloke’. All have full descriptions and stand on their own feet. But you can also check the links on @TheAdamRayner on my Twitter feed or wait and I shall embed them in the right groups in articles right here on Talk Audio magazine and SOONER than last year. Day one and the CES Unveiled has been up from the day it happened by dint of a mad day’s work. I am but one man, yet have plans to try to fix that in future shows! And also, the stillsthat’s a tale for another time and I hope, a bit exciting for regular readers, for I have got hold of some brutally powerful imagery stuff versus what I had before.
So I hope you had a good New Year and I can tell you that cars and their toys are getting more important to the mainstream.
And you lot are all experts.
