Week Twelve: First Sound Off and Full Of Win
What A THRILL it was to be the master of ceremonies for Miss Jackson and Miss Siren Stiletto at the ICE Heroes night at EXPO! I failed them by not being in a full-on 1930’s showman’s apparel, as they looked magnificent in feather boas and ruched gowns and then corsetry and long gloves and stockings, before ending up all sequinned nipple coasters and naughty bare behinds!
Be still my beating heart!
Burlesque is the king of all tease and as exactly that, is far more piquant and delicious than grubby. Hell, in a world where YOU right now are no more than two (well remembered) clicks away from whatever pornography floats your boat, these girls were a true frisson of delight and I thank Charlotte of Mobile Electronics News for the gig. Thine to command again, sweetie.any time!
The EXPO itself was the single best and most useful exhibition for my own doings that I have ever attended! As a direct result, there will be all sorts of new site associates and one in particular that will mean a very great deal to me indeed. But more of that once it has occurred.
The first sound off of the EMMA season was a roaring success with no fewer than eight judges, thirteen classes judged and thirty-six entrants, including sixteen brand new Rookies, which is brilliant. And I know that there are a goodly few serious entrants’ cars not yet finished that will be at the future events, so there’ll be even more! I cannot tell you how warm it makes my soul to see that there are still some serious craftsmen hobbyists and professionals alike prepared to ‘Take it Out And Measure It’ as AudioControl say! For it is their SA-3055 RTA SPL meter as gets used to do the tech bits. Ears for the rest
I enjoyed it immensely and I don’t blame the model lasses really for blowing out the babes contest..well I do a bit but we’ll let them off as they might show up at another event. (Fact is we had no stage as such and that lack of ‘˜barrier’ might have put them off when they heard) But it was as well run an event as any I have attended and the catering was awesome, thanks to owner Pav’s Mum Rita and Auntie Pat!
Lastly and Vastly, the hot news is that thejoose has done brilliantly in the World BassRace Finals, coming second world-wide to last year’s champion! Well DONE Matt Sprigg! We love you! Ground Zero and Kenwood bloody ROCK!
Rakes of stuff now owed, reviews and show reportage, so I’ll get at it.
