Week Twenty-Five – Wherein I Shall Be Going To The Seaside!

It sounds dead glam but it is really about going to visit Celsus Ice in Poole, Dorset to make some more product videos about JL Audio, Dynamat, Stinger, their new digital radio offering and more. My most successful product video is in fact Chris Bennett talking about ‘JL Audio Bass Boxes & Why They Are Cool’, made right the Celsus hub of empire there. It has cranked on the viewing figures on my Presenterbloke channel on YouTube and has had lots of comments, some lovely, plenty telling me to shut up. (Hmm can’t imagine why&;.) So I’ll be off on Thursday to spend an evening putting the world to right with the chaps at the bar and then spending a significant chunk of Friday making videos to regale you lot with.
I just found outit’s LOTS of videos, so much for the jolly! Hard work is good for the soul and you will get to see more stuff.
Back at the coalface, I reckon it aught be about the £700 three-way Hertz Mille component speaker system I have here in test boxes, as well as trying a couple of bass boxes. One a shallow one and one active. I will be losing a day to a Speed Awareness course, though. I was snapped doing 36mph in a 30 and have been offered the option of a few more quid than the fine and instead of points, a few hours in the same room I went to for the Phoenix Gold training but about how not to drive too fast rather than car audio. I will report on what it’s like for you.
Finally, I went down to the Essex Arena last Saturday night and have some pictures from the Pure Carma King Of The Ring Drift series event with proper Droppers in attendance and also went through the new BASSOTRONICS album sent in from the Miami offices of Bass Mekanik label. This was in José ‘Quakeshaker’ Corriea’s Astra van with THREE alternators wedged in! There’ll be a music review and video of what he thought real soon as well.
As ever, more to do than time to do it in&;
