Week Twenty-One – We’re Blessed By The Sun

It’s shaping up to be a cracker of a Modified Nationals Show with sunshine and half-clad babes! As I write the forecast is for the nice African Continental air mass to move back south towards the end of the week but they always underestimate how warm it gets and I’m hoping for the start of what the meteorologists call ‘blocking’. We get drought and stuff and lots of gardens dry up but it’s lovely and warm for months!
As previously told, my brief at the Modded Nationals this year is that of Videographer.
I reckoned there would be thirty odd car clubs and figured I would get around them all! No hope! There are over a hundred! But if you have a website and can lift and embed a YouTube video then you are a candidate for fame! After hosing it down, I’ll be uploading like fury. I have three video capable cameras as double-back-up and will be getting a heap of AAs and SD cards….

Meanwhile, I finally sacked our crappy home TV provider today and found out when re-installing a replacement digital video recorder that the old one had been broken by kittens using the sockets as a climbing frame! The RF out socket had been snapped off the internal circuit board so we were getting a really rubbish signal sent onwards to the Panasonic Viera! It all goes to show that the TV signal in the air is a delicate thing and yet one day we will be getting full on multimedia and all the knowledge and music as yet produced by mankind on an on-demand basis through The Cloud as they say (and once called ‘aether’.)
In the meanwhile, we have an NX700E double Din to play with from Clarion”> and all sorts of bits to try to get in this week – shortened again by losing Friday to set-up day. Talk Audio will be there with Team Ice in the shape of Ian Iceman Pinder and Drew B’s mad Smart Boom Car (150dB I swear!) and this time I have a PA as well, so come by and hear when the next hair trick will be and come and hang out with the Iceman. I’ll be about but as they say, peripatetic!
I’ll go get on, then.
