Week Twenty-Seven – Wherein Modified Live Is A Coming!

S’funny how moving a 75GB file to an external drive seems to free up the RED status of the computer’s beleaguered hard disc drive and speeds everything up generally! And my lad’s new HP Pavilion lappy is lovely too. That and a nice positive conversation with the capable BT folks to see about getting me onto 80MB down and 20MB up via a nice shiny BT Infinity fibre optic has got me in a much more positive frame of mind, computing-wise.
Regular readers may have registered my delight at getting Sony back as Talk Audio site associates and more vitally, as headline sponsors of TalkAudio TV with supply of a sexy camcorder and some Sony Vegas editing software. I have a learning curve and an upgrade to sort but it does herald a new era of better TATV (plus I shall also use it for the Anglers Mail&;)
The reviews are lining up and I really want to get at more ASAP and yet I have some wonderful material from the Celsus filming day that shall be going onto TATV bit by bit with one due today, as ever is. Also, with Modified Live coming up at Brands Hatch, I am looking forward to a cool sound off weekend. I do hope the weather is good – last year we got roasted in the sun. I know the size of Andrew Ackerley’s UK operation is growing all the time, so the turnout should be good. See you there!
I am just sorting the details of the equipment and ‘stings’ for going fore and aft of the videos, a bit like Cadbury and Corrie, only on our scale, which is lovely. Mails to-ing and fro-ing to hammer out the details. It’s going to look dead sexy!
Oh and I’m now deeply involved with the whole Digital Radio UK organisation and have been invited to the rooftop terrace of the Trafalgar Hotel for next Friday lunchtime to ‘mark an unmissable summer of music and sport and a year of digital radio progress.’ As transmitters ramp up power and more radio is being broadcast for the Olympics. I am looking forward to hob nobbing with the posh suits. I’ll snidey some video and let you see what is was all about&;
As ever, more to do than time to do it in, so I’ll go get on&;.
