Week Twenty-Six – Wherein My Computing is Creaking!

The Bassotronics: Bass Buttons Activated session was great fun and yet as I lost Friday to filming at Celsus, (which went well apart from my Canon DSLR not liking dim light and hot conditions) the resultant words and vid are not on the front page as yet.
Also, I am behind again with reviews of hardware and am losing another wee chunk of the week in my pursuit of telly stuff, so am up against it a bit! My PC meanwhile, bought at the exact wrong moment to have to have Windows Vista was a pain when I got it as so few bits of software were made to accommodate its foibles. Now, of course, there are better OS about and my spec is creaking, with the C drive showing red for there being only around 40 GB left of the 455!
I do have a Terabyte-in-a-box HDD, so shall be setting it up and moving some stuff to alleviate the problem. Meanwhile, my lad is doing arty graphical A levels and wants to go to uni to study games design, so needed a better laptop. The one he had as a hand me down was gratefully received but always creaked a bit and now, he has gone from a sweet fuzzy eared donkey to ride to the next farm, to putting a saddle on a Brahma bull. It ain’t a fire breathing dragon as it is ‘only’ an i5 but next to my old desktop PC it is a monster of Quad core goodness!
I discovered at Celsus that the JL Audio guys are finally getting a grip of CE marking their home subwoofers and they have set up distribution in the UK, which is good news and I have lined one up to test for Home Cinema Choice, which aughta be fun.
As ever, more to do than time to do it in, so I’ll go get on&;.
