What’s More Rotten Than Rumour? Rumour-Mongers, That’s Who!
As Mark Twain is so readily misquoted, ‘Rumours of My death have been exaggerated’
Sometimes a rumour can be funny, sometimes not.
And sadly, the recent news of the closure of Oxford Car Audio has started tongues wagging within the industry with regard to Car Audio Direct. Although once connected the two companies have been independently run and separately owned for nearly three years.
For the record Car Audio Direct is alive and well and looking to expand further in 2012. A recent move to larger and newer premises increases the warehouse space threefold and shows that CAD’s commitment to invest in its future and gives a firm rebuttal to the doom and gloom merchants within the Car Audio industry
In fact CAD’s Guv’nor Colin Organ, said.‘Yes, we must have been bonkers to move so close to Christmas but we put in the preparation and no customers experienced any ripples from it! The computing issue was entertaining mind, to switch over in a weekend. But we have the in-house expertiseWhat we are looking to do is spread our appeal wider and expand the variety of products we sell on line and thus needed the space. We have a very positive outlook for the coming year and are planning to add considerably to our portfolio.”
Talk Audio recently ran a story about the business expanding in the most tough of times, moving house as they are part of the Internet Revolution and tussle with just one other company for the very top end position each year in the trade awards for on line retailer of the year. Hell, they’ve had it often and are the guys Talk Audio magazine use along with that other trader they fight over the Etailer of the Year award for each year as a Known Good internet seller reference. Meaning keen price and bloody top-hole posh service ethics.
