World Beating JL Audio W7 Woofer Gets Anniversary Treatment

The woofer that’s been raved about by so many reviewers in both domestic and automotive markets, the JL Audio W7, has been given a makeover for its birthday.
Now ten years old, the subwoofer has been duffied up, with a posh Anniversary Edition cone badge and prettier cosmetics. The famous cast baskets are now powder coated with a Satin Black finish, sporting bright anodised clamp rings. You get another special Anniversary Edition badge at the terminals and even the box it comes from the shop in, has some cool new graphics to denote the Anniversary Edition status.

As if that wasn’t cool enough for the lucky buyers yet to get into the amazing bass that W7 can bring for the admittedly high price, Lucio Proni himself is going to sit down and sign a slew of each size of the speakers, no more than 300 of any one model, for the true fans to get hold of and cherish just that bit more.

As soon as the container door is cracked and the cool damp air of the UK breathes over the JL loveliness within, we are promised the first W7 to hit UK soil. In fact it won’t be hitting the deck, it’ll be freighted live and direct to Talk Audio, where we shall be the first in Europe to try it out. Apart from owt else it’s been years since I had a go on one…expected around the end of March, beginning of April time.
